The blueberries add just the right amount of sweetness and tartness to these fluffy wonders—and don’t worry: They’re so easy to make that you won’t believe it!

The Best Way to Start Your Day

As you may have noticed, we’ve used “Blueberry Pancakes” as our recipe name. What does that mean, exactly? What does blueberry have to do with pancakes, for starters? And why is it the best way to start your day? Well, pancakes are one of the most popular breakfast foods out there. There are a ton of different ways to make them, and they’re super easy to make. If you’ve got a recipe that you love and know by heart, we’re not telling you to stop making it! We’re just saying that pancakes are a great way to start your day. Blueberries, on the other hand, are at the top of their game in the summer. So when you put the two together and toss it on a pancake, you’re treated to a delicious and nutritious start to your day. You can make these pancakes at any time, but summer is a great time to do it.

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup blueberries (Fresh or frozen)
  • Vegetable oil (For frying)
  • Maple syrup (For drizzling on top)

These are the ingredients you’ll need for this recipe, as well as a large mixing bowl. You’ll want to get all your ingredients together first before getting started.

Mixing and Coating

This first step is easy: Just mix all of your dry ingredients together in one bowl. Then, in another bowl, mix up your wet ingredients. After you’ve mixed up everything, combine your wet and dry ingredients together. Now that all your ingredients are in one place, you’ll want to coat them with a bit of butter or oil. This will help keep your pancakes from sticking together. You can add this to your mixture while it’s still in the bowl.

Baking Blueberry Pancakes

Now that you’ve mixed and coated your ingredients, it’s time to actually make and bake the pancakes themselves. There are a few different ways you can do this, and we’ve got a few suggestions below. If you’re in the mood to get creative, you can use a pancake mold to make all sorts of shapes. This way, you can make a variety of different pancakes at once. If you’re not in the mood to get creative and want to make your pancakes the traditional way, a good nonstick skillet is your best option. Make sure that your skillet is nice and hot before you start cooking your pancakes, so they’ll get nice and crispy on the outside.
